About the slot report
The Slot Report helps readers understand airport slots and coordination. It explains the rules, processes and practical challenges that shape how airlines gain access to busy airports.
Through clear guides and analysis, the site makes complex topics easier to understand for aviation professionals and anyone interested in how airport coordination works.
The experience behind The Slot Report.
The Slot Report explains airport slots and coordination in plain English, helping aviation professionals and interested readers understand how access to busy airports is managed.
I bring 18 years of experience in airport slot coordination, capacity planning and airline scheduling, working with airlines, airports and regulatory authorities on fair and efficient slot allocation.
My aviation background includes British Airways and working as a slot coordinator from 2008 to 2016. From 2010 to 2016, I was based in the UAE, helping establish slot coordination at Dubai International Airport and coordinating its slots. Since 2016, I have worked in IATA’s Worldwide Airport Slots team, contributing to the development of global slot policies and practices.
I created The Slot Report to share practical insights, explain the rules and explore how slot coordination can support better use of airport capacity.
The Slot Report is a personal project. The views expressed are my own and do not represent IATA or any other organisation.
